Effettivamente hai ragione. Con il caricatore opzionale da 32A monofase anche la BMW I3 carica a 11kW in trifase.

Only new 94Ah i3 will charge 3-phase @ 16A for 11kW output. My car is MY2016 and will only do single phase 32A for 7.2 kw charge.

Hello, I think You don't need resistors or other devices if use Zencar with 3a cable end adaptor, because the EVSE "talk" with the Enel charger so can give power to the car. Pay attention that Tipo 3a provide only 3.7 kwh, at this point look for Type 2 plugs, and use 3a only for emergency

Resistor is for network side (to start flow from Tipo3), not for car side (in this case PWM is provided by EVSE, and is only case when car start recharge).

Ok, I'm now doing the resistors with a switch for the 3a plug, I see on a schematics there is a diode there, can you please tell me what kind of diode should I use there?

BTW. EVSE without any resistors will not work, the enel coline will not provide power, so selidori is right

Long story short: any 1N4xxx diode should work, you can try with 1N4007, at example.
